DiVerde EcoLogic Stone™ series combines leading-edge technology with recycled natural materials to create a sustainable, solid-surface product that is sophisticated, environmentally-responsible, and more affordable than any other engineered countertop in its class.
Based on our DiVerde EcoLogic Stone™ slabs use 40% less material and are almost half as thick as traditional stone slabs, yet they are almost twice as durable. That strength is made possible by a structurally-sound substrate panel made from post-consumer recycled plastics. The substrate panel increases both the density and flex-strength of the countertop. Once installed, the material looks just like a traditional, solid-surface countertop—without any engineered quartz library, compromise in functionality.
A lighter countertop requires fewer shipments from factory to jobsite as more countertops can be loaded to reach transport capacity. That, in turn, means less vehicle traffic and carbon emissions, further supporting your green project.
EcoLogic™ Stone is a byproduct of our global Recycled Stone program. Both locally and abroad, we collect and sort pre- and post-consumer recycled stone materials to convert them to EcoLogic™ slabs. As an added bonus, DiVerde EcoLogic Stone™ series requires less water to fabricate and creates far less dust during processing and onsite installation, which makes it’s safer for the installer and adds to a cleaner, safer jobsite besides.
EcoLogic™ and LEED
The EcoLogic™ Stone series contributes to your building’s “green points” through LEED credits, as follows:
- Recycled Content: 10% (post-consumer + 1/2 pre-consumer) = 1 point
In several EcoLogic™ Stone colors there is a minimum of 35% post-consumer recycled content. Coffee Brown, Absolute Green and the six colors in the Stellar Series contain a 35% post consumer recycled glass content. The color "Dali" is composed of more than 70% post-consumer recycled glass.

EcoLogic™ Stone countertops are fabricated regionally within 500 miles of a project.
- Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants = 1 point
The EcoLogic™ Stone network of fabricators use DAP® caulk for countertop installations. To assure point availability make certain to request the use of DAP caulk. DAP's VOC content is less than the current VOC content limits of South Coast Air Quality Management District Regulation 8, Rule 51.
In addition, EcoLogic™ Stone Series supports 1 point through LEED EQ Credit 4.1 – Low emitting materials, adhesives and sealants, and points through LEED MR Credit 5.1 – Regional materials, 20% manufactured regionally.
